The Rubber Tapper

Khlek is an 11-year-old boy from the Kroeung ethnic minority. He and his parents live and work as rubber tappers on a rubber plantation in northeastern Cambodia, which is run by bosses from the Khmer diaspora in France.
One day, Khlek notices a huge charred tree, cut into pieces and abandoned in the middle of the plantation.

As the city is growing around them, they consider their unstable income and imagine a different future.

Daro is a young man of 20 years old.
He comes from a poor family in Kampong Speu province. His father collects fruits on palm trees.
After he graduated from high school in Kampong Speu, he gets a scholarship to study in Phnom Penh. There, he decides to hide his poor family situation.
Hanging out with his friends and discovering materialism in this exciting city, he becomes careless about his family and his studies.
After the death of his father, Daro’s mother decides to replace her husband to work on palm trees, to keep providing for her sons, even though it is a dangerous job.
When Daro discovers about his mother situation, it is a real shock for him. Realizing he is not really happy and this is not what he wanted for his life, he finally starts being himself.

Ya Nin – Currently, He is one of the talented Singer in KIRI Motion and conduct as communication Specialist for this community artists that started from 2024. Before that, He was a Sales Manager for Udong Real Estate from 2019 – 2024 that he use his unique skill and creative knowledge in sale management and marketing. From 2014 – 2019, He was working in marketing field for CLIPS Media as Marketing Manager.
In music industry, Ya Nin started his singing career in 2010 at Svang Dara Production also released Shadow album in Cartoon Emo Band. In 2012, He upskill his level to singing for M Production and also in 2013, he sang for Diamond Music Production.
For KIRI Motion, He also released his first album “Power” and stay turn for next album.
